  Chiba TanehideSampo Shin-sho [a thick manual on traditional Japanese mathematics] Publisher: Nishinomiya Yahei, Bunsei 13 [1830] Five volumes complete. Some hundreds of woodblock diagrams and tables, approx.220 folded leaves, 5 volumes bound in one four-hole binding, as issued, yellow wrappers and title label quite rubbed, 26 x 18cms. There are some very occasional small patches of worming in the blank margins. About 20 leaves in vols. 2 and 3 have some small patches of worming wthin text with very minor effect on legibility.
