Boston, Ticknor and Company, 1889.33 plates, some double-page, numerous other illustrations including views, plans, construction details, &c., x,222pp., (8)pp. Adverts at end, square 8vo., cloth, inconspicuously rebacked with original gilt-titled spine laid over. Front flyleaf neatly replaced to match. Ingleton bookplates on front pastedown. A decent copy of a very scarce book; TUIT, J.E. The Tower Bridge, Its History and Construction From the Date of the Earliest Project to the Present Time. London, Office Of 'The Engineer', 1894. Frontispiece, 6 folding plates at rear, 84(?) plates, drawings and figures through text, 106pp., large 4to., publisher's green cloth with gilt titles, some minor rubbing. A very good copy.The illustrations are erratically numbered and placed out of sequence, but 84 seems to be the total. A fine record with much engineering detail drawing, photos of work in progress, illustrations of previous unbuilt designs -
