Some pleasing decorative alphabets, examples of titles for maps &c., designs for compasses and borders; DELAMOTTE, F.A. Primer of the Art of Illumination for the Use of Beginners. London, E.& F.N.Spon, 1860. First edition.12 chromolitho plates with guard leaves, 8 plates repeating in purple outline the designs of eight of the chromo plates, 44pp. printed in red and black, advert. leaf, square 8vo., publisher's cloth blindstamped, with elaborate gilt titling on front board. Tips and edges a little rubbed and with small chip from head of spine. Generally a very good copy, sometime recased without loss; SMITH, Henry D.
