Lot Description:Book On Penmanship
SHINTON, Edward. Beauties of Modern and Ancient Penmanship, designed and written by...Lancaster, [by the author], 1818. Engraved title and 12 plates, interleaved tissues with some foxing, 5pp. of advert and list of subscribers, small folio, contemporary panelled gilt calf somewhat worn, but restored and rebacked to style, wide gilt dentelles, red glazed endpapers. A very handsome copy from the library of the Duke of Sussex, with a later, inoffensive library label.Unrecorded by Heal. -
