Redige, Dessinee, Peinte et Publiee par Decloux et Doury, Architectes.Paris, Felix Malteste et Cie., 1857. 20 chromolitho plates printed by Lemercier, 5 engraved plates of elevation, section and plans, titlepage printed in red and gold, (4),(88)pp., of historical and descriptive text, each page with a decorative border printed in one of several colours. Some very pale foxing to initial and final leaves. Tall folio, publisher's 1/4 morocco, spine gilt, cloth boards with a decorative gilt border and title. Spine edges rubbed but sound, front board with some marginal spots of discolouration, but overall a very good copy.The book illustrates the chapel as restored by the architect J.B.A.Lassus, before the work of Viollet-le-Duc. The very fine chromo plates show decorative panels, borders, murals, stained glass &c., with much use of gold and some silver. The engraved architectu
