Ballarat, F.W.Niven and Co., 1887.Large folding bird's eye view colour panorama of Ballarat, colour folding plan of mine leases, 21 litho plates (8 tinted) after drawings by S.T.Gill, 10 facsimile plates of documents (licences, proclamations, etc.,), xx,362pp., 8vo., publisher's grey cloth with pictorial designs in black and gilt. Some slight rubbing to spine ends and tips, front inner hinge just cracking, both folding plates with a hinge tear closed with conservation tissue, but overall a very good copy.First published in 1870, this second edition is much expanded.
