Ownership stamp of a parliamentary library on titles and first and last pages of text, and their gilt crest on front covers. No other markings. Publisher's cloth. Despite the foxing a very good set; MONTEIRO, Joachim John, Angola and the River Congo, London, Macmillan, 1875. First edition. Two volumes, 16 wood-engraved plates, folding map mounted on linen as frontis. to vol.1, (10),305,(6),340pp., intermittent light foxing, marbled edges and endpapers, small 8vo., contemporary 1/2 green morocco and cloth boards, spine elaborately gilt with raised bands. Some minor rubbing to spine edges and corner pieces. Old gilt crest of a parliamentary library on front board and at spine base. No other markings. Quite a nice copy. See Howgego 4.
