    SANBORN, Alvin Francis, Paris and the Social Revolution. A Study of the Revolutionary Elements in the Various Classes of Parisian Society. With Illustrative Drawings by Vaughan Trowbridge, London, Hutchinson, 1905, Numerous line illustrations, (20),404pp., 4to., pictorial cloth gilt. Gilt ownership stamp of parliamentary library on front board and stamp on title page. No other markings. Nice copy; SUE, Eugene, Paula Monti, or, The Hotel Lambert, London, Chapman and Hall, 1845. First edition in English, 20 wood-engraved plates after Jules David, (4),388pp., marbled endpapers, bookplate on front pastedown, 8vo., later binding by Riviere and Son in red morocco and cloth, spine gilt, tips and spine edges a little rubbed. Old repaired small tear in one leaf. A very good copy. The gilt cloth of the spine and front cover of the original publisher's binding have been mounted and bound in at the back of the book; FLAUBERT, Gustave, Bouvard and Pecuchet.
