JONES, Owen, The Grammar of Ornament. Illustrated by Examples from Various Styles of Ornament, London, Quaritch, 1910. [re-issue 1928], 112 fine chromolitho plates, & 157pp. with numerous line illustrations in text, all edges gilt, large 4to., publisher's ornamented gilt cloth with a small area of light flecking on front board which is very slightly bowed. Fine internally. An excellent copy; First issued in folio in 1856 and then in 4to. in 1865-8, this re-issue of the 1910 edition [which was remainder sheets from the 1865 edition with a new title page] is the last to be printed in chromolithography, preserving the rich original colouring. AUDSLEY, W. & G., Polychromatic Decoration as applied to Buildings in the Mediaeval Styles, London, Sotheran, 1882, 36 chromolitho plates, many heightened with gold, with interleaved descriptions, +(8),32pp., folio, publisher's cloth gilt, some wear to tips and spine-ends, re-cased preserving original binding and endpapers.
