    A Rare Early Number Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver , c 1862
    during the height of the Civil War. This revolver has the standard Army/Navy finish with single letter Ordnance sub-inspection marks on the barrel, cylinder and trigger guard, with the two-line "COLTS/PATENT" marking on the left side of the frame. The walnut grips have an oil finish. The top of the barrel is roll-stamped "-ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK USA. AMERICA-" faded in one line. The cylinder is roll-engraved with the Texas Navy battle scene and "COLTS PATENT No. 0164"and “PATENT SEPT 10th 1850” beneath. The full serial number "60164" is stamped on the bottom of the barrel lug, frame, trigger guard and back strap. All of the visible serial numbers match.
