  In 1973 the artist painted the Café Portrait Series set in Kings Cross Sydney.  The capped male figure in this work is also found in another work, Untitled (Cafe Portrait Series) 1974 from a private collection in Nelson, offered as lot 76 at Dunbar Sloane, NZ's  auction on 20/11/2013.
