Lot Description:Gilt copper repousse panel depicting a mounted atlas Tibet circa 18thC
The figures dressed in a flowing robe which is tied above the waist is barefoot as he sits astride his mount, a mythical creature which is cloven hoofed, horse headed, serpent bellied and deer tailed with licking flames along his flanks. The figure has both palms stretched upwards as he rides amid a lush floral and foliate surround. Dimensions: 10 ½” x 7 ¾” (26.5 x19.5cm) -
