  A Qing dynasty 18th Century Chinese Coloured Ivory Wrist Rest,清中期着色象牙臂擱, ,
  modelled in rectangular form, and carved with Bugs walking through painted orchids, foliage and pepper seeds, probably carved by a master in The Palace Workshops of the Hall of Mental Cultivation, l 16cm 雕件長16厘米，此器刀工精细流畅，毫无滞涩之感，叶片、豆果、昆虫，无不细腻逼真。而且无论深浅浮雕，在严谨的布局中都应用得恰到好处。其器璧轻薄，光照下有透视效果，牙質精良，温潤通透，实为精工之作。且此臂擱无論在工艺，着色，以及整体艺術风格都與現藏于北京故宮物院，雍正五年清宫造办处制作的象牙雕笔舐极為相似，比较两者可知，当属同一时期同一制作水平的“姐妹”作品，應是同時期養心殿造辦處牙匠大師之佳作，故相信此器是清中代造辦處之制作及源自宮廷，极之珍貴。參考: 紫禁城出版社， 2010年6月出版：《故宫经典•故宫竹木牙角图典》218页。
