    A German Vari-Coloured Gold Snuff Box, Maker's Mark Indistinct, Probably Les Freres Toussaint, Hanau, Mid 18th Century
    rectangular, engine turned with fine reeding to body, the cover and base with central chased and engraved cartouche, the cover featuring a young man in landscape harvesting with a sickle, the base with a young man with a sythe, suspended from softly draped swags, the sides chased and engraved with agricultural implements and sheaths of wheat, wheat-ear borders with scrolls and ribbon ties
