  Thomas Joseph Surgenor was born 19 May 1895; motor lorry driver; appointed to NZ Police 1 August 1921 and posted to Wellington 1 August 1921, Westport 15 August 1921, Glenavy 31 January 1937, and retired at Christchurch. Wills (1990).
