A rare Banaba Islands (Gilbert Islands group) historical illuminated address presented to George I. Ellis Esq.
with ink signatures of the residents and dated 1900-1910. The illustrations include figures in native costume and a trading vessel which is probably the Archer. On today’s maps the island group bears the name of Kiribati. 450 x 260, framed under glass.
