  PS - BOER WAR: 1899 (Nov.24) German 10pf postal card to Holland
  from a volunteer in the first Dutch Red Cross ambulance that served with the Boers. Written on the Steamer "Konig" shortly before arrival at Tanga, German East Africa. Cancelled by "DEUTSCHE SEEPOST/OST/AFRIKANISCHE/HAUPTLINIE/k" cds, with datestamps of "TANGA", "LA REUNION A MARSEILLE/L.U No 1" & 'VENLOO" plus a superb strike in red of the very scarce "AMBULANCE/NEDERL; ROODE KRUIS" cachet containing a red cross. Believed to be the only item from this Dutch Red Cross ambulance written enroute.
