  A pair of 19thC Japanese Kutani porcelain vases
  ovoid shape with wide tapering conical mouth, each decorated with butterflies, praying mantises, frogs, snails and beetles on a ‘sandy’ ground, diaper and foliate tendrils in iron red and gilt decorate the neck and base. Six character mark under the base of each, factory fault at foot of one. Height 345.
