• Notes:
  Rosemary Laing was born in Brisbane, in 1959. Trained as a painter, Laing has explored conceptually based photography and performance since the 1980s. She is internationally recognised as a leader in the field of concept-based photo media. She has presented solo exhibitions at several museums, including the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney. Since the early 1990s she has presented work in numerous curated museum exhibitions worldwide, and has participated in various biennials, including the Biennale of Sydney (2008), Venice Biennale (2007). Her work is held in national and international museum collections.
