Lot Description:Rare silver spoon with 1654 coin attached
a silver spoon with handle that includes coin from shipwreck Vergulde Draeck, spoon hndle stamped STG SIL, Length 19.5cm. On 28 April 1656 the Dutch ship 'Vergulde Draeck' (Gilt Dragon) struck a reef and sank off the coast of Western Australia near present day Geraldton with the loss of 118 lives. The remains of the ship were finally discovered in April 1963, -
