  the nickel plated hilt with open swept guard and sharkskin wire bound grip; the proofed blade marked J Daniels & Co, Woolwich with single fuller and etched with English royal coat-of-arms and cypher of Edward VII, the obverse with wings and thunderbolts; in steel scabbard, blade length 825.
