  the hilt with open swept guard with cypher of bugle suspended from a crown, the grip sharkskin and wire bound; the proved blade marked ‘Carter’s, 65 Pall Mall, London’, singled fullered and etched with VR cypher and conforming regimental bugle cypher. In steel scabbard, blade length 825.
