Lot Description:An exceptional and highly decorative Victorian double snake pendant/brooch
fashioned as two opposing snakes in 15ct. yellow gold and silver, their bodies entirely set with old cut diamonds, an emerald set to each eye, their open mouths and tongues supporting the central oval facet cut pink sapphire of approx. 2ct. A further pear shape diamond drop extends from one tail, all suspended from two chains, each enhanced with a collet set diamond, the bale with a further two diamonds, the 107 variously cut and sized diamonds with an estimated weight of approx. 8.95ct. In original leatherette box with blue velvet lining containing the original detachable pin for use as a brooch. -
