  54 Cal smooth bore; 10" barrel marked J.D.J/P/U.S. at the breech; plain lock fitted with a bolted safety, dated 1822 Eagle & Shield motif beneath S. NORTH U.S. & MIDLth CONN; re-enforced cock & brass pan; steel regulation furniture; slight wear to profiles; clear barrel & lock markings; patchy grey finish to barrel, lock, fittings & furniture with areas of fine pitting to barrel; g. stock with faint cartouche to lhs of stock & a couple of v. fine aged cracks to forend; all complete with captive rod; gwo & f to g cond.
