  CASED D/B PERCUSSION FOWLER by IRWIN WALLACE
  12G; 32" damascus twist barrels with a few sml patches of lt surface rust near breech on rhs, struck with 12 & London proofs, rib engraved J. PEARSON CARLISLE 1858 & inlaid in gold; platinum vents, 2 gold bands to breech with dog's head engraved to rib; beautiful scroll & game scene engraved locks; dog's head hammers; game scene engraved t/guard with safety bar to t/guard extension; game birds engraved to butt tang; sharp profiles, clear address & all engraving; beautiful soft brown orig finish to barrel with distinctive pattern; sharp locks with soft case colours; 70% blue finish to t/guard & butt tang; exc stock with fine chequered wrist & forend; all complete with ebony rod; gwo & fine cond.
• Notes:
  Presented in its orig flame mahogany brass bound case with lid escutcheon engraved J. PEARSON CARLISLE; partitioned & lined in green baize with minimal wear; the only accessory is a leather covered German silver mounted flask by Hawksley engraved THOS STURGEON ESQr. C.1858.
