Lot Description:COLONIAL ISSUE VICTORIAN POLICE M/L CARBINE
577 Cal; 21" damascus barrel with top marked POLICE FORCE VICTORIA & old VP numbers to each side; f to g bore; borderline engraved lock with ROYAL CYPHER; mellow finish to brass regulation furniture of the period; soft grey patina to barrel, lock & hammer; butt tang blank; g. profiles & clear markings; g orig stock with a lrg inlet around the lock surround; complete with swivel, rod & eyelet for butt; gwo & cond. A scarce carbine for the Colonial collector. -
