Lot Description:SCARCE IMPERIAL RUSSIAN 1ST MODEL BRUNSWICK PERCUSSION RIFLE
70 Cal; 30" damascus twist barrel with sword bayonet fitting to rhs; std front & rear sights; back action lock marked P.J. MALHBERBE LIEGE; mellow finish to brass regulation furniture of the period; fitted with a hinged brass patch box; butt tang engraved with the Imperial Russian Eagle & 973; brass oval wrist escutcheon with Imperial Crown & engraved TC over 1; g. profiles, crisp & clear markings; soft grey patina to barrel, lock & hammer; 18" of barrel to muzzle has surface rust; g. orig stock with minor bruises & scratches; no sling swivels; orig r.rod; gwo & cond. -
Notes:A scarce item for the collector of these early Russian rifles.
