    c1880s, 4to. Thirty nine images in total, mounted on card and housed in original album. Binding weak with front cover loose. Inscription to paste down. Wear and foxing to contents, but all images clear. Collection includes : sixteen Josiah Martin images including three strong portraits and scenic depictions of the Pink and White Terraces. Two Elizabeth Pulman portraits, the first titled 'Wetani Rore Tatangi', depicting a Maori man with full moko wearing a cloak with taniko border and feathers in his hair. The second is titled 'Anehana'. This striking image was referenced by Gottfried Lindauer when painting the famous portrait of the subject. Other photographs include several scenic depictions, chiefly of thermal regions, by F G Radcliffe and Scottish photographer James Valentine. Along with six images by unidentified photographers. A strong collection. AF/FA.
