  A Working Model Replica E1 Electric Locomotive
  built by John Romanes and Colin Burleigh. This is a scale reproduction of a 150KW E1 locomotive that was commissioned by the Railways Department from English Electric to build a train that would install the catenaries in the Otira Tunnel in Canterbury. The tunnel was originally electrified in 1923. The train also comes with a small tender which doubles as a 24 volt battery pack and drivers seat.
