Lot Description:Patiti – Axe
Maori land wars (1845–1872) steel trade axe. Blade stamped: 'W.GILPIN' and 'C.DAVIES'. A base of wooden handle terminates with 12 carved ridges. Pierced square hole. Rich, mid-brown patina.
