  A 1952 Bentley Mk VI Engine number B50M
  Bentley Motors moved to Crewe in 1946 giving it access to the highly skilled engineers and mechanics who moved to this busy industrial area during the war. The Bentley Mk VI with a modified 4 1/4 litre engine and a shortened version of the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith chassis was the first Bentley car to be built entirely at the new Crewe works. It was also, importantly, the first to be offered with a pressed steel body shell as standard. Whilst coach-built cars were still available, the Mk VI signalled a change in vehicle production and became one of the best sellers in Bentley history. This Bentley MK VI comes from the last year of the model's production in 1952 fitted with the desirable larger 4 1/2 litre engine. This Australian delivered car was a special order fitted with front bench seat and single picnic table and extended foot rest in the rear The car was repainted in the early 1970s in ice blue which complements the luxurious blue leather interior. The twin SU carburettor engine has been rebuilt and a new clutch, brakes and tyres have recently been fitted by marque specialist TK Motors.
