A rare Milton, Graham & Winter period N.Z. Pottery bread plate
oval form with radiating wheat sheath design, the shaped angular flared rim with raised lettering ‘Where Reason Rules the Appetite Obeys’, Majolica glaze, blue and green mottled to the brown ground, oval foot, impressed mark c.1890. 290 x 230, small flake chip under rim.
