  A Superb Victorian Snake Motif Necklace
  Yellow gold (tests as 9ct washed with gold of a higher carat). The uniform tubular sinuous body of highly articulated overlocked links, the head enhanced with engraving and repousse set with a large pear shaped garnet, the eyes set with small garnet cabochons and the articulated tongue set with a further garnet. The clasp at the tail engages with the side of the head. The original box allows for a sinuous serpentine display.
