• Provenance:
  Collected or possibly gifted to a Doctor and his wife living and working in the Belgian Congo circa 1925-34.; Thence by descent
• Notes:
  Finely carved female figure seated atop twelve tooth comb with delicate patterning on hair and headdress. Figure also decorated with fine brass wire around torso, wrist and ankle. A variety of traditional geometric patterns incised on both sides of the comb's panel surface. Dark, shiny patina.
