Lot Description:An impressive Chinese large ivory carved censor
the tall cover with two full relief foo dog finials above the main reticulated pierced section highlighted with four stylised masks with ring captured handles all to the oval lid, signed to tablet, fitted to the oval section body with relief carved panels of dragons and pearls on a scrolling cloud ground, the two flared scroll handles with fret carved highlights incorporating two pairs of captured ring handles, all raised on three solid legs each with five claws issuing from a stylised mask, signed with character marks to base. Height 310, width 270. -
