A Chinese Bridal Ensemble Later Remodelled, Qing Dynasty, 19th/20th Century
The red silk robe embroidered with phoenixes accompanied by a detachable double cloud collar (yun jian), later remodelled to incorporate an overskirt of embroidered streamers and two double lapped panels further embroidered with dragons and finished with silk knotting and tassels.
