Lot Description:A George III Irish heavy silver large sugar bowl
the compressed wide baluster body with embossed floral and scroll decoration, raised on four ball and claw legs with shell and leaf scroll tops, crested. Diameter 135, weight 428gms. Dublin 1818 by James Le Bas. Note: from 1833 to 1838 James Le Bas was a warden of the Dublin Goldsmith"s Company, which runs Dublin Assay office. -
