  An impressive cased set of eight silver gilt fancy marriage spoons
  in the French manner, the finials with a pair of figures to each, the handles of entwined form with dolphins, masks and scrolls, six with large oval bowls decorated with engraved and embossed geometric and scrolling patterns, along with a pair of ladles, one with pierced bowl. Total weight approx. 500gms. London 1885 by Thomas Whitehouse, all in fitted deep maroon velvet lined Morocco leather box.
