Butler (1891-1972), Secretary to J.J.C.Bradfield, on numerous occasions Bradfield acknowledged Butler's assistance in developing the tender specifications, she acted as chief publicist for the bridgeís construction and was generally the spokesperson when Bradfield was away, she was held in high regard
