Notes:This work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Merrepen Arts which states: 'A traditional way of cooking wallaby or roasting a large lump of meat is usually by cooking it under-ground in a ground oven. This method is usually used during ceremonies. First you have to collect dry white gum tree logs, paperbark, rocks and wendili leaves. Then you dig a hole in the ground and put the logs inside to make a big fire. Then you throw the rocks in. When there is no more flames you wet the wendili leaves and put the wallaby on top and cover the hole with paperbark, then cover the it all with the dug out soil. Give it an hour or so to cook. It tastes beautiful.'
