    A pair of Japanese applied lacquer plaques, 19th/20th century
    each applied in bone, mother of pearl and wood, one with an eagle and song bird beside bamboo and prunus, the other with a pair of ducks and flowering plants, the russet lacquer ground painted with blossoming branches
    each 45.cm x 30cm
  • Notes:
    Condition: The eagle's wing with an area of applique missing, both plaques with small chips to the edges, otherwise generally good condition.
