  • Notes:
It is thought that this ship painted here by Percy Lindsay, is the six-masted American schooner called the 'Helen B. Stirling', skippered by a Dutchman, Captain Uister Huise. It was an American trading ship and was in Sydney Harbour from about 1930 - 1931 onwards where it rested at Berry's Bay. The company which owned the ship crashed during the depression and the Helen B. Stirling waited for several years to hear of her fate. She was eventually scuttled, having been considered unseaworthy after he long wait in Berry's Bay.
