Lot Description:Mennecy Porcelain Tureen and Underplate c. 1750-60
of quatrefoil shape, the cover with apple finial (restored), painted with garden flowers including roses and tulips, incised 'D V' to the undersides for the Duc de Villeroy. This important collection of Mennecy porcelain was formed in the 19th century by the Darblay family, especially Ayme-Henri Darblay (1854-1899). He published the reference book, Villeroy, Son Passe, Sa Fabrique de Porcelaine et Son Etat Actuel, in 1901
