depicting a man seated astride a jug and opening the lid, dressed in a three quarter jacket and pantaloons, the baluster jug decorated with encrusted flowers and painted with insects and floral sprays, on a naturalistic base, in tones of pale lime, pink, yellow and green, accented in gilt, underglaze crossed swords, impressed 08, and incised marks to base, height 17cm
