Lot Description:Two Fine Bembe Female Ancestor Figures from the Congo, Africa
diminutive wood Bembe figures from the Republic of Congo are representations of ancestors, both male and female. These female figures are lovely examples with their its soft features. Female figures stand tall, the arms extended forward. The figure on the right has scarification that adorn parts of her torso are, characteristic of Bembe sculpture.
