Lot Description:A Late 19th Century Japanese Ivory Folding Fan
the sik leaf painted to one side with wisteria, peonies and butterflies, the other with a farming scene of two peasants within a treed landscape, shaped ivory sticks, and hardstone inlaid guards with wisteria and swallow, and silk wrist tassle with ivory ojime with lacquered and hardstone insects, Meiji Period 1868-1912. Fan open: 63 x 38 cm. -
