  An antique Malay silver modesty disc (caping) of heart shape, Terengganu, Northeast Malaysia, circa 1900
  The main decorative border is embedded with a row of padi seeds followed by a row of embossed dots inside a thin border. The central shield adorned with floral decoration. With original silver chain (50cm long).
  7cm high, 6.5cm wide, 31 grams

  Private collection, Melbourne. Acquired in Singapore in 1980
• Notes:
  Note: The last known cases of babies wearing the caping was during the reign of Sultan Mohamad IV (1899-1920). Thereafter the caping ceased to be popular.
