carved wood with gesso and remnant paint colours featuring emu and kangaroo supporters beside a quartered shield featuring an anchor, sheep, caduceus and possibly a plough, surmounted by a rising sun, and a ribbon bearing 'Advance New South Wales' in gold lettering across the base
