  • Notes:
    Charles Lancaster was an important figure in Brisbane art circles. he worked as a painter, sculptor, stained glass and metal artist. Importantly he served on the Committee of the Queensland Art Society (President) and Trustee of the Queensland National Art Gallery. he studied under Frederick McCubbin at the National Gallery School. He exhibited at the Royal Art Society NSW notably 1924 and 1926. He was awarded a British Empire medal for his contribution to the British Empire Exhibition Glasgow 1937.
