  A large blue and white armorial dish for the Dutch market
  Kangxi period, bearing the arms of Jabob Pelgrom of Holland, 35.7cm diam.
• Provenance:
  R & V Tregaskis Oriental Art, Sydney
• Notes:
  The Pelgrom family coat of arms is painted on the upper centre rim of the dish. It was part of a dinner service made for Jacob Pelgrom, a merchant who rose to become Director-General of Bengal (India). For near identical examples, see Sotheby's, Chinese Export Porcelain, London, 19 May 2021, Lot 204, and Rijksmuseum online collection, object no. AK-RAK-1994-5.
